Rachel Eleanor Brown is a Vermont tattoo artist and oil painter, born 1991.

​

In 2009, she was awarded a scholarship by Teen Vogue/Target/Council of Fashion Designers of America and studied at Parsons the New School for Design in NYC.  She then pursued her apprenticeship in tattooing, trained by Jon Whitman, which led to opening Strange Brew Tattoo in 2011. 

As a student, her paintings were shown at Bennington Museum, as well as

Southern VT Art Center (SVAC) where she remains an artist member today. 

She exhibited "Women in Punk" at Harmony Collective Artist Gallery in Brattleboro, VT in 2023.  

 

She is currently creating new work to capture scenes from hiking her home state, while also continuing her work in the home healthcare field through Vermont Center for Independent Living.  She tattoos by-appointment in Westminster, VT.
